IT Giant TCS starts its BPO Centre in Patna

Patna, May 11: Small city youth often faces a common problem. Due to bag a good job, they have to migrate metro cities. Now, Patna folks are saved from this problem. IT giant TCS has started their operation in Patna from today. Minister of Electronic, IT, Law and Justice, Ravi Shankar Prasad was present in the inauguration event.

This is being open under India BPO Promotion scheme (IBPS). This is the largest set up of TCS in the eastern region. The seat-allocation number is 1000 for the center. In a whole, it will create 3000 vacancies for the young generation of Bihar. The BPO would work on three shifts.

Ravi Shankar Prasad has mentioned this initiative by TCS as a boost to Digital India dream of Narendra Modi. The setting up of TCS Patna is a great opportunity for the youth of Bihar. This investment by IT giant TCS will inspire other leading companies to invest in Bihar. This measure will pave the way for Bihar’s development.

TCS in Bihar is a beginning of a long term plan. Varanasi and Nasik would soon get the TCS center in their city.  Ravi Shankar Prasad has expressed his vision to take forward IT Industry to small towns of India. That would help the small city youths to stay in their hometown.

TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan was present in the ceremony. There Ravi Shankar Prasad has discussed IT issues with him. He has thanked them for their Bihar initiative. The inauguration programme has been followed by a seminar on IT/ITES entrepreneurship and startups in Bihar.
