Port Blair, May 15: After the heavy heat of summer, Nicobar Islands are showered with rain. People are enjoying the awaited Southwest Monsoon arrived a three days before its scheduled date. The continuing cyclonic circulation will become a low pressure soon and will move further advancement of Monsoon over more parts of the Andaman and Nicobar islands.
Monsoons had not only reached to Andaman but also in many parts of India. There is a Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir because of it is expected to rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Giving isolated dust storm over North Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan, the cyclonic circulation is from the Pakistan region and in Northwest Plains, it is expected to continue the dry weather.
When talking about east and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation had reached North Bangladesh with extending up to Northwest Bay of Bengal. It is also expected that the states West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, and Meghalaya to get rain soon. Northeast India and some parts of Odisha are likely to have sprinkled rain.
When talking about South India, a cyclonic circulation is above North Interior Karnataka and this will extend to Comorin region. For this, it is expected to rain at many parts of Karnataka including Bengaluru and Kerala, whereas Tamil Nadu will witness scattered rains.
The monsoon had already reached Konkan and Goa which is expected to give rains over Madhya Maharashtra. Mumbai and Pune too witnessed the heavy rainfall. Mumbaikars are waiting for the next rain and expect that this monsoon to continue and last for long period.
Monsoon had raised the hopes amongst the people to get rid of this heavy summer heat. A thunderstorm which seems scary was also enjoyed by the people.
