Chandigarh, May 18 : with an eye on the 2019 Lok Sabha polls BJP President Amit Shah to kick-start his two-day Chandigarh visit which is beginning from May 20 . As a part of his 95-day extensive nationwide outreach campaign Shah will attend several organisational programmes in order to strengthen party organisation.
Briefing about the details of visit Chandigarh BJP President Sanjay Tandon said that, Party chief Amit Shah will arrive on Saturday morning and has a packed schedule. He further informed that Shah will hold a series of meetings with councillors, office bearers and party workers to fine tune the strategies for future polls. Shah will also take feedback on the current political situation of the region.
BJP Chief will mark his presence in the statue unveiling programme of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, whose birth centenary is being observed. He will also inaugurate a library named after Nanaji Deshmukh and an e-library.
The Chandigarh unit is also organising the intellectual meet where BJP supremo will engage an interactive session with the Intellectuals from city. According to www.tribuneindia.com the event is being organised by the intellect cell of the BJP which will take place at Law Bhawan, Sector 37.
According to media coordinator Ravinder Pathania, “The intention is not only to draw feedback from the intellectual class but the session will also serve as a participatory forum to form new policies for the region, which will sharpen professionalism”.
After the states like Jammu, Himachal Pradesh and Tripura Chandigarh will be the fourth place in the 95-day pan India tour of Amit Shah which started on April 29.
