New Delhi, May 19: After Coimbatore the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is planning to hold its annual review meeting in most –troubled state of Jammu and Kashmir for the first time. The meeting will be held at Jammu, sources said.
The review meeting generally held after the summer training camps are over, will be an opportunity for the RSS to disseminate the message to those separatist elements that J & K and especially the Kashmir Valley is the integral part of India.
The meeting scheduled to be held on July 18-20 will be attended by top RSS leaders and members of national executive besides the prominent leaders of the RSS-inspired organisations active in different fields of social life.
Talking to PTI, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Dr Manmohan Vaidya confirmed the meeting and said that this is routine annual review meeting of the prant pracharaks to take stock of the events and activities of the year and plan for the future. He said that the meeting will review the summer training camps.
He said that the Jammu regional office offered to host the meeting so it was decided to organize the event there. He said that the RSS had a small office in Jammu which has now been expanded and the workers volunteered to hold this meeting there. This will be the first such meeting of RSS being held in that province, he added.
Vaidya said there would be no major decisions in the meeting but various issues facing the country may be taken up for discussion.
