Pakistan should mend their ways to build peace, if not then they will be forced to do so: Rajnath Singh

Gangtok, May 21: Today while on 3rd day visit to Sikkim, Home Minister Rajnath Singh interacted at ‘Sainik Sammelan’ said that Sashastra Seema Bal, SSB, has been guarding the open borders with Nepal & Bhutan which is a difficult & complicated task as borders with these countries are open.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh also assured that the central government would soon come up with the ‘permanent solution’ to the Kashmir issue. Amidst the ongoing unrest in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajnath Singh said that "I want to assure you that our government will come up with a permanent solution to the Kashmir issue."

"We know the truth, that Kashmir, Kashmiris and Kashmiriyat are all ours," said the home minister. Singh also said at the event: "Our neighboring friends [Pakistan] should mend their ways. If they do not correct themselves, they will be forced to mend their ways."

The home minister is on a three-day visit to Sikkim during which he attended a conference of Himalayan states to review the security situation and development activities along the Sino-Indian border. He had also visited the Nathu La border post, besides visiting a few posts of Indo-Tibetan Border Police and SSB along the Sino-Indian and Indo-Nepal border respectively.
