Moscow, May 21: Saturday Russian Defense Ministry disclosed, representatives in Russian-Turkish Commission on the Syrian truce registered a total of 12 violations of ceasefire regime in Syria over past 24 Hours. The bulletin said the majority of the shooting was fired from small firearms, in the areas which are under control of Daesh and Nushra Front terrorist group, both of these groups are outlawed in Russia.
"Situation in the de-escalation zones is assessed as stable. Within last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 12 cases of firing in the provinces of Damascus (2), Hama (9), and Daraa (1). The Turkish party has registered 6 cases of ceasefire violations in the provinces of Hama (5), Aleppo (1)," the ministry's Center for Syrian reconciliation said in a daily bulletin. Ministry also Said, that there are no records of new ceasefire agreement over past 24 hours.
From 30th December 2016, Russia and turkey are the guarantors of nationwide Syrian Ceasefire regime, UN security Council also passed a resolution in December 2016 supporting this effort. In May Russia, Turkey and Iran jointly signed a memorandum on establishment of safe zones in the country. Four zones were selected - northwestern Idlib province and parts of the neighboring Latakia, Hama, and Aleppo, the north of the central Homs province, Eastern Ghouta near Damascus, as well as southern Daraa and Quneitra regions.
A large number of inhabited have joined in the reconciliation process, that is 1,505, and a number of 219 armed formations have joined in ceasefire regime.
