Guwahati, May 29: The black box of Indian Aircraft Sukhoi -30 Fighter Jet has been recovered which went missing along with the two pilots on Wednesday along the border side of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, the debris of the missing fighter jet was recovered in the dense jungles of Assam.
Indian Aircraft Sukhoi -30 Fighter Jet took its flight from Tezpur Airbase on Tuesday morning which further lost radio and radar contact with controlling station. Two pilots aged between 25 to 30 were on board. The last reported position of the aircraft was 60 km northwest off Tezpur. The weather condition of the area was not good during that time.
It is being predicted that the accident took place due to bad weather condition. After taking off, it went northwards. Search operations were launched to track a trace of the fighter jet. It was near Arunachal when it lost the contact. The area is very near to China Border.
This twinjet was developed by Russia's Sukhoi and it was built under a deal with Russia in 2000 to manufacture 140 Su-30 fighter jets. It was a heavy, all-weather, long-range fighter. Back in March, an SU-30 jet crashed in Rajasthan’s Barmer district. Since 1997, seven Sukhoi-30 fighter planes have crashed.
