New Delhi, May 8: Amish Tripathi, author of the much acclaimed The Shiva Trilogy, and the first book of the Ram Chandra Series, the Scion of Ikshavaku, has released the cover of the second instalment of the series, Sita – Warrior of Mithila on Thursday. The cover was launched by actor Raveena Tondon.
Defying the conventional image of the goddess, the cover depicts Sita as a fierce warrior, yielding a stick, fighting a horde of men single-handedly. “The cover captures Sita as a true warrior and an alpha-female, who is fiercely fighting hundreds of men, with only her lathi. And while she is easily outnumbered, she continues to charge on and doesn’t accept defeat easily. She completely emulates the modern, contemporary woman,” Tripathi said during the cover launch.
Raveen Tondon, who launched the cover, lauded the mythological author expressed her excitement towards the book. “Being a reader of Amish’s books, I was looking forward to the launch of the cover. The cover truly depicts the power of a modern woman and her emotional will and strength to do what is right. I congratulate Amish on the unique book cover launch and I now await the release of the book,” she said.
Many celebrities took to twitter to congratulate Amish Tripathi on the cover launch of his fifth book, and the second book of the Ram Chandra Series.
The Ram Chandra Series, which will be consisting of 5 books, is a saga of Lord Ram, his consort Sita, and his brother Lakshman, which will be following them through their childhood, tutelage, and ultimately, their 14-year-long exile.
The first book, Scion of Ikshvaku was the fastest selling Indian book of 2015. Sita – Warrior of Mithila will be launching on May 29, and is available for pre-order on various e-commerce platforms.
