New Delhi, May 9 : Informing about the details of new GSTN registration, officials of revenue department which comes under the finance ministry declared that the suspended procedure will start again in a few weeks. The process of enrolment of taxpayers on the Goods and Services Tax Network was suspended on April 30.
According to government officials more than 60 lakh taxpayers have been enrolled on the GST portal between November 8, 2016 and April 30, 2017. The enrolment process closed with effect from May 1 and the data of all those signed the enrolment form would be migrated to the new GST system.
The department is planning mega GST awareness campaigns across the country. The mega financial reform GST will be implemented from July 1 which will incorporate most of the indirect taxes.
