New Delhi, June 1: In a strong warning to the Pakistani Army’s habitual ceasefire violations, the Indian Army on Thursday launched an offensive and killed 5 Pak troopers in J & K’s Rajouri and Poonch districts.
The Indian forces opened fire as a retaliatory measure to Pakistani ceasefire violations in these districts of the border state killing five soldiers of the enemy and injuring another six, reported news agency ANI.
The exchange of fire took place on the other side of the Line of Control in Bhimber and Battal sectors after the Pakistani forces indulged in ceasefire violation.
Early Thursday morning Pakistan fired mortar shells and opened fire on the forward posts along the LoC in nowshera sector in Rajouri district and Krishnagati sector in Poonch claiming the life of a GREF labourer and injuring two BSF jawans.
The Indian Army launched a counter-offensive killing five of their soldiers and injuring six others.
