London, June 12: Defending Champions India on Sunday swiftly entered into the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy with an 8-wicket win over South Africa in their third and final Group-B game at the Oval in London.

Opting to field, India bundled out the world number one team for a paltry 191 courtesy a clinical bowling performance and some tight fielding. South Africa were 140 for 2 at one stage, before they lost their last 8 wickets for just 51 runs. Seamers Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged 2 wickets each for India.

Chasing 192 for victory, India then achieved the target in 38 overs riding on opener Shikhar Dhawan's innings of 78, which was his third consecutive half-century of the tournament. On the other side, Skipper Virat Kohli made an unbeaten 76, while Yuvraj Singh remained not out on 23. Bumrah was named a man of the match.

In the final Group-B game, Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff at 3 PM Indian Time today. The winner will join India in the semi-finals from Pool-B. Meanwhile, England and Bangladesh are the teams that have made it to the last-four from Group A. India is currently at the top of their group and has a decent net run rate. They are likely to face Bangladesh in the semis.
