Mumbai, June 14: The much awaited Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 have been launched in India priced at Rs 14,999, Rs 12,899 and Rs 9,499 respectively. While Nokia 5 will exclusively be available at offline stores, Nokia 6 will be an Amazon exclusive.
Nokia 3 can be purchased via offline retailers starting June 16. Nokia 5 will go on sales starting July 7 whereas Nokia 6 will be available for pre-orders from July 14.
“Nokia is a trusted and well-loved brand across the world and especially in India. Today’s announcement scripts a new chapter for Nokia phones in this country as we set out to capture the hearts and minds of an entirely new generation of fans through an inspiring and purpose-led approach, said Vice-President India, HMD Global, Ajey Mehta.
“The new line-up comprising the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and the Nokia 3 is visually stunning and will always be available out-of-the-box with the latest and pure version of Android. We intend to break the clutter in a market dominated by undifferentiated products by providing a great user experience while living up to the Nokia brand promise of simplicity, trust, reliability and quality,” he added.
Nokia had begun to lose its hold over the market before it was acquired by Microsoft which attempted to create some traction for Windows-based phones under the Lumia brand, an initiative that failed.
