Mumbai, June 16: Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah reached Mumbai today morning as he is on a three-day visit. Further BJP President Amit Shah is also scheduled to meet Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday.
BJP President Amit Shah will be holding several meetings to discuss the organization’s goals and plan to get started up for next assembly polls. The Amit Shah-Uddhav Thackeray meeting is scheduled for Sunday at ‘Matoshree’. The meeting will stress upon the solutions for the issues like Maharashtra farmers unrest, loan waivers, infrastructure, assembly polls strategy etc.
“The BJP president will have a separate meeting today evening with local actors, and on Sunday evening he will hold an interaction with intellectuals and writers. This is how Amit Bhai normally organizes his state visits. He wants to get a pulse of what people are saying and hearing,’’ said a party functionary.
Later today, Shah is scheduled to meet party MPs, MLAs, State Unit Office Bearers, Morcha Presidents, Presidents of Districts and Mandals and other elected representatives in South Mumbai. The meeting would be followed by another with BJP Ministers in Maharashtra government at the Chief Minister's residence 'Varsha'.
On Saturday, Shah would meet the core committee members of the state at 'Vasant Smriti' - Mumbai BJP's office in Dadar. The Mumbai visit is part of the country-wide tour programme undertaken by Amit Shah from April to September, party sources said.
