New Delhi, June 16: In a bid to put a stop on reckless driving by government bus drivers, Yogi sarkar has introduced an innovative scheme. It is urging citizens to click pictures of drivers while they're flouting rules and win cash rewards.
Uttar Pradesh government said that Passengers can take pictures of drivers talking on phones while driving and WhatsApp it to the authorities. While passengers will get rewards, the driver will be slapped with a heavy penalty.
In last week, the bus was carrying 38 passengers, collided with a truck near the Bareilly bypass on National Highway-24, claims Twenty-two lives and 19 injured. The bodies had been badly charred as the bus caught fire after the collision.
Also, following a surge in complaints about teachers sending 'people on rent' instead of going to class themselves has led the Yogi govt to look into the matter. In a bid to curb the widespread problem of fake teachers, primary schools in UP will soon have photographs of 'real' teachers pasted on the walls. Teachers are skipping work or sending someone else on their behalf, officials say.
