London, June 18: Pakistan Sunday delivered a crushing defeat to India by 180 runs at the ICC Champions Trophy final played at Oval in London.

India won the toss and opted to bowl first against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2017 final match at Oval in London.

This is the first time India and Pakistan are facing each other at the London ground in an ODI. Pakistan was 38 for no loss with their opening batsmen Azhar and Fakhar at the crease.

Playing a verey decisive game Pakistan mustered a huge score of 338 runs in 50 overs by losing just 4 wickets. The Indian bowlers found them helpless to break the Pakistani batsmen's spell.

In response, the Indian side just failed to withstand the Pakistani bowlers who could easily demolish the first batting order of India.

Rohit Sharma was the first to return to the pavellion followed by Shikhar Dhavan, Virat Kohli, M S Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh.

It was Hardik Pandya who withstood the Pakistani bowlers and hit some very brilliant sixes and fours to help India make a three-digit score and save face in this crumbling defeat. India's score halted at 158 in 31 sovers.

However, the 7-1 victory at the Hockey against Pakistan brought some solace to those hurt by the defeat at the Oval.
