London, June 19: London wakes up to another terror accident in the city. This time, it took place near a mosque. A van rammed into pedestrians near a mosque in North London, killing one and injuring at least 8 people. The driver of the van has been taken into custody. The attack occurred near Finsbury Park. Many people also reported of 3 people getting off the van but till now, police could not get hold of any such people.

Eyewitness Abdul Rahman said the driver said he wanted to "kill all Muslims". "When the guy came out from his van he wanted to escape, run away and he was saying 'I want to kill Muslims. 'I want to kill Muslims.' "I hit him on his stomach... and then me and the other guys... we held him to the ground until he couldn't move. We stopped him until the police came."

Abdikari Warfa was the first one to hear the sound of the van. He immediately went outside to see what happened. “We saw a driver who was trying to escape and he was using force”, said Warfa.  People then caught hold of him and pinned him to the ground until police arrived. There were already 8 people injured on the ground after the crash, according to Warfa, including one older man trapped under the van.
