New Delhi, June 19: As soon as Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq congratulated Pakistani cricket team for winning the Champions Trophy held on Sunday, former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir offered a help and suggested him to pack his bags and cross the border to go to Pakistan.
Gautam Gambhir replied to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq saying, “A suggestion @MirwaizKashmir why don’t u cross the border? U will get better fireworks (Chinese?), Eid celebs there.I can help u wid packing.”
Farooq had earlier tweeted, "Fireworks all around, feels like an early Eid here. Better team took the day. Congratulations team #Pakistan." Mirwaiz earlier also cheered for Pakistani team when they registered a win over England in the first semifinal match of the ICC Champions Trophy. He tweeted, "As we were finishing taraweeh, could hear the fire crackers bursting, well played team #Paksitan. Best of luck for the finals!"
Gautam Gambhir has also slammed several people on Twitter who abused India's armed forces. Pakistan on Sunday came out with a phenomenal all-round performance as they defeated India by a huge margin of 180 runs to lift Champions Trophy title.
Chasing a massive total of 339 runs, India bowed down before the Pakistani bowlers and got all out on just 158 runs in 33.3 overs. All-rounder Hardik Pandya was the only batsman who stood firmly against Pakistani bowlers and scored 76 runs off 43 balls.
