Secunderabad, June 2: Telangana today celebrates its third formation day. On this special day, Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao wished states on the 3rd anniversary of Telangana. He said, “I salute all the martyrs who made supreme sacrifices”.
On the foundation day of Telangana, CM after waving of the largest national flag addressed the people of the state from the parade grounds in Secunderabad. Addressing the people announced a 6-point comprehensive plan for farmers which comprises of Rs 8,000 cash assistance per acre per annum to each Telangana farmer, 24/7 continuous electricity supply, a formation of crop colonies and support price for their yield.
Stressing the need for setting up crop-colonies to enable farming community in forming into organized sector CM said a survey to the extent is underway by the agriculture extension officers.
CM informed that as per recent CAG report, Telangana tops the country in revenue growth for Financial Year 2016-17 which registers the growth rate of 17.82%.
CM Chandrasekhar Rao announced thousand rupees social security pension for single destitute women while recalling the state government’s commitment to people’s welfare.
In a progression of welfare measures that the state government will execute in coming days, the Chief Minister additionally reported Rs 15,000 help to mother and child which incorporates 'KCR Kits' worth Rs 2,000 to take care of their nutrition and health needs. The objective is to encourage institutional deliveries in government hospitals and to prevent foeticide.
Denying charges leveled by the opposition parties including BJP and Congress, CM Rao said Rural Economy is being reinforced through a few measures over which, the government is taking a striving for creating wealth, and to give equity and social justice.
CM also looked into a formal parade of state extraordinary police strengths. Haryana Pipe Band has uncommonly participated in the parade under Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat program. Earlier, he paid tributes at the Martyrs' Memorial at the Gun Park.
On the formation day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wishes the state saying “Statehood Day wishes to the people of Telangana. I pray for the progress & prosperity of the state in the times to come”.
CM Chandrasekhar Rao also announced, “512 new residential educational schools opened, fine rice is being served for students at hostels”.
