Gangtok, June 20: Sikkim boys and Assam girls played very well in ‘Oorja’ Football Talent Hunt Tournament 2017 at Jammu University ground on Sunday. Defeating the oppositions both boys and girls won the title trophy.
Sikkim boys won against Assam by a solitary goal and lifted the title trophy, while Assam girls raised the winning trophy after defeating Telangana by 1-0. The goal was scored by Anjali Deka. Jammu and Kashmir captured the third position in boys section and Sikkim secured the third position in the girl's section.
Winner team in boys section was rewarded with the cash amount of Rs 1 lakh each whereas the runner-up teams were presented Rs 60,000 each and the third position holder was rewarded with Rs 40,000 each.
Karishma Roy of Sikkim bagged the best player award in girls section while Kulak Baruha of Assam bagged the best player award in the boy's section.
