Hague, June 22: Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is on a visit to Netherland to address Public Service Day of United Nations. Along with the address, she has attended several meetings. To overcome the challenge in Bengal Industry, she has called on European Industrialists to invest in Bengal. In the Industrialists meet, she has assured that talent can be easily found in Bengal.
The government of West Bengal organized an event with VNO-NCW, the largest employers' organization in the Netherlands. FICCI and KPMG supported the event. In the event, she had direct interaction with the employers and investors.
Hans de Boer, President, VNO-NCW expressed interest in bringing in a delegation of Dutch companies to Bengal Global Business Summit 2018. The Ambassador of India to Netherlands also addressed the session.Noted Industrialists from Bengal spoke on their experiences of doing business in Bengal.
West Bengal is the gateway of North-Eastern India. Using the fact, she explained if investors come to Bengal they would be able to extend the business to neighboring countries - Bhutan, Bangladesh. The famous industrialists from Bengal also supported this logic and assured investors that Bengal is a safe place for investment. Adding to that, Banerjee informed about the Land Bank of Bengal.
“I request you to invest in our state. We will provide you highest co-operation.”, Bengal CM said. She termed Bengal as human capital.
