London, June 22: Indian Tennis star Rohan Bopanna and Leander Paes with their respective partners on Wednesday stormed into semi-finals of the Aegon ATP Challenger which are being held in London. Leander Paes along with his Canadian pair Adil Shamasdin defeated Belarus' Andrei Vasilevski and Chile's Hans Podlipnik-Castillo by 7-6, 6-2.
Meanwhile, Rohal Bopanna and his Croatian partner Ivan Dodig outclassed top seed and World No. 2 Henri Kontinen and John Peers by 7-6, 4-6, 10-2 to move into Semi-finals of the tournament. After winning the first set easily, the Indo-Croatian pair went down in the second set before they rebounded strongly to register a commanding win over their opponents.
However, another Indian pair Raja and Sharan are also in the fray of semi-finals clash and will face the Thai twins Sanchai and Sonchat Ratiwatana. Earlier, Leander Paes and his partner Adil Shamasdin defeated Australian pair of Matt Reid and John-Patrick Smith by 4-6, 6-3, 12-10 at the grass-court event to enter into quarters.
Rohan Bopanna and his Croatian partner Ivan Dodig outclassed Kyle Edmund and Thanasi Kokkinakis by 6-3 6-7(5) 10-7 in the first round and entered into the quarter-finals of the tournament. Both the Indians are looking in great form and further committed to grab the title and make us proud.
