London, June 23: India’s sensation Tennis player Leander Paes along with his Canadian partner Adil Shamasdin defeated Australian professional tennis players John Millman and Luke Saville to advance into finals of the Aegon ATP Challenger, London on Thursday.
The Indo-Canadian pair Paes-Shamasdin registered a comprehensive win over Australian professional tennis players by 6-4, 7-6 in a match that lasted for one hour twenty-six minutes. However, it was an easy win for Paes and Shamasdin as they did not give any chance to their opponents to do comeback or score points.
Earlier, Paes-Shamasdin defeated Belarus' Andrei Vasilevski and Chile's Hans Podlipnik-Castillo by 7-6, 6-2 to enter into semi-finals. Whereas, Rohan Bopanna and his Croatian partner Ivan Dodig earlier outclassed top seed and World No. 2 Henri Kontinen and John Peers by 7-6, 4-6, 10-2 to move into Semi-finals of the tournament. After winning the first set easily, the Indo-Croatian pair went down in the second set before they rebounded strongly to register a commanding win over their opponents.
Rohan Bopanna and his Croatian partner Ivan Dodig will play face with the winners of another last-eight clash between the French duo of Julien Benneteau-Edouard Roger-Vasselin and America's Bryan brothers.
