Suhl, June 26: Indian contingent continues to shine in an ongoing ISSF Junior World Championship held in Germany. Notably, Indian shooting trio of Anish, Anhad Jawanda and Shivam Shukla claimed the third position to win a bronze medal in the 25m rapid fire pistol team event on Monday.
The trio of Anish, Anhad Jawanda and Shivam Shukla scored a combined total of 1711 points to lift India's medal tally to four i.e two gold, one silver and one bronze on the third day of the championship. Interestingly, this was Anish's second medal of the competition after having won the 25m standard pistol gold on the opening day of the competition.
However, Arjun Babuta also made it to the individual final of the men's 10m air rifle event on Monday, but unfortunately, he lost his way and finished fifth. Arjun had earlier shot a score of 624.4 in the qualification round to make it to the final in seventh position.
Earlier, Yashaswini fired 235.9 points in the 10m Air Pistol Women and bagged the gold medal in the ISSF Junior World Championship. Yashaswini’s medal consolidated India's second position in the medals tally at the end of day three, with two gold, one silver and two bronze. However, China is on top of the medal tally.
