Dubai, June 28: Indian skipper Virat Kohli reclaimed the first position in the latest ICC Twenty20 rankings while pacer Jasprit Bumrah has risen to second place in the bowlers list. India also gained a spot by virtue of their series win against England to climb to the second spot in the team rankings.
Virat Kohli leads number-two ranked Aaron Finch of Australia by 28 points, while Glenn Maxwell of Australia is third. In all-rounders' category, Bangladesh's superstar Shakib Al Hasan leads the chart, followed by Glenn Maxwell and Mohammad Nabi.
Jasprit Bumrah also maintained his second position in the bowlers’ table with a four-point difference between him and Imran Tahir. Ravichandran Ashwin is 8th in the list while Ashish Nehra is 24th. Pakistan's ICC Champions Trophy-winning side's member Imad Wasim has become the number-one ranked T20 bowler.
In the batting table, Kohli, Aaron Finch of Australia and Kane Williamson of New Zealand have retained the top three positions. In the team rankings, England has moved into outright second position with 123 points to trail number-one ranked New Zealand by two points.
Earlier, Virat Kohli reclaimed the first position after surpassing AB de Villiers and David Warner in the latest ICC ODI rankings for batsmen. However, Virat Kohli is the only Indian players who continuously remained in top three of ICC rankings in all the formats of the game.
