Uttarakhand receives its own AIR and DD news station

Dehradun , June 29: Uttarakhand is on its way to gain success in all departments of the state. Recently, the ruling party i.e. BJP completed 100 days of governance in Uttarakhand. During the ceremony, CM Trivendra Singh Rawat announced many facilities that will be provided to the people of Uttarakhand. And now, Information and Broadcasting Corporation Minister Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated a newly constructed complex of All India Radio and Doordarshan Kendra Dehradun.


The Minister also launched regional news unit of DD news and AIR Dehradun Station. Speaking on the occasion, Naidu congratulated the people of Uttarakhand and said that with the launch of this station, a long pending demand of this region has been fullfilled. He also announced that Doordarshan Kendra, Dehradun will be functional 24x7 within a year. 

Doordarshan Kendra Dehradun will present the rich cultural, social, literary and religious heritage and events of the Himalayan state. It will telecast programmes beneficial to all the sections of society in the state. The channel will disseminate each and every minute detail of a news event to the common public.  However, the new AIR Dehradun station will cater to Pauri Garhwal, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Dehradun. Tehri and Hardiwar.
