Women in Blue keeps winning in ICC Women's World Cup

Taunton, June 30: This ICC Women’s World Cup is going well for India. Indian players acquired consecutive two wins. After beating England by 35 runs, India again won match against West Indies by 7 wickets. Now Indian team will move forward in the tournament with 4 points. Mandhana has gifted the win to Indian fans with an extraordinary unbeaten 108-ball 106. Though India lost Punam Raut first over later Mandhana and skipper Mithali Raj steadied the innings.

In the toss, India captain Mithali Raj won and chose to field in 1st innings. West Indies managed to score 183with 8 wickets. Giving tension to the audience, Shamilia Connell sent back Indian opener Punam Raut in 5th ball of the first over. Then Mandhana and Raj kept it like India are 56 for two in 15 overs also. In 22 overs, Mandhana got her half century securing the position of India still hopeful.

Indian Captain’s decision to bowl first could not be justified by her two frontline medium-pacers. Jhulan Goswami and Shikha Pandey shared the new ball between them for the first six overs. Later Ekta Bisht took the first wicket in sixth over. Harmanpreet Kaur also played well.

West Indies tried to do everything but could not trouble Indian team as it was a batting pitch. Their poor show with the bat made them lost the match.
