Paris, June 6: India's Rohan Bopanna and his Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski on Monday advanced to semi-finals of in mixed doubles of French Open at Paris. Bopanna-Dabrowski defeated Indo-Croatian duo of Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig in the match that lasted for 52 minutes.

The seventh pair in the tournament of Bopanna and Dabrowski registered an easy win over Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig in straight sets by 6-3, 6-4. Bopanna is the only Indian left in the fray in the Grand Slam tournament. He is though already out of the men's doubles event.

Interestingly, Bopanna/Dabrowski exacted revenge over Mirza/Dodig who had beaten them at the Australian Open. The seventh seeds now face the winner of the mixed doubles encounter between Andreja Klepac/Dominic Inglot and Andrea Hlavackova/Edouard Roger-Vasselin.

With yesterday’s loss, Sania's campaign ended in the tournament. She and her Kazakh partner Yaroslava Shvedova had crashed out of the women's doubles event in the opening round. Notably, Sania Mirza and her Croatian partner Ivan Dodig defeated Elina Svitolina and Artem Sitak to enter into quarterfinals.
