Taiwan beats Japan to face S.Korea in finals of Basketball Championship EABA 2017 finals

Taipei, June 7: Taiwan's basketball team beats Japan in semi-finals 78-73 to advance to the final round of the East Asia Basketball Association (EABA) Championship 2017 on the Japanese team's home territory of Nagano.

The Japan troop had no response for naturalized player Quincy Davis, who scored 29 points and snatched 17 rebounds. Davis' Super Basketball League (SBL) colleagues Chou Yi-Hsiang and Chiang Yu-A both contributed 10 points each.

South Korea to oppose Taiwan’s team in next game, who irritate intensely, supported China 106-104 in overtime earlier that day. The two groups will concur off today at 3:45 p.m. The two groups will be having basketball match today.

Started on June 3, the top five teams which place in the basketball championship will directly qualify for the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Asia Cup 2017 which is said to be in Lebanon from Aug. 8-20.

The qualification tournament in Nagano consists of teams from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan and South Korea.
