Wreckage of lost Myanmar Military transport Plane found in Andaman Sea

Naypyidaw, June 8: Myanmar experienced a tragic loss of a Military Transport Plane yesterday. The Chinese-made Y-8-200F transport plane disappeared over the Andaman Sea while 122 soldiers and family members were on board. From local media report, it has been known that wreckage and bodies of the vanished plane have been found. Navy ships and aircraft were in the search since last afternoon. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi PM expressed his sadness over the tragic accident of Myanmar military plane.

There were more than 12 children on board. The passengers were on their way for medical checkups and to attend school. The army found the plane and some dead bodies this morning about 8:25 am. Among three bodies, one is of a child. Myanmar's military fleet has a recent history of plane crashes. Myanmar air force is blamed for having bad safety performance. 

The plane was brought in 2016 March. according to military official's statement, it had logged 809 flying hours. Though it is rainy season in Myanmar, there was no report of bad weather.

PM Modi said in an official statement "Deeply saddened at the tragic loss of Myanmar's military transport plane. India stands ready to help in every way in the recovery efforts.”
