Hyderabad, June 8: Soon after marking its presence in Kerala, the southern states have been receiving on and off good showers. Some part of southern India observed with heavy rainfall.
At the moment, Kerala and coastal Karnataka are receiving good rains while some parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were recorded with heavy rainfall. Right now, on and off showers are expected to continue in Tamil Nadu however the intensity of rain will be light to reasonable and irregular.
According to Skymet Weather, these showers can be supported to a well-marked low-pressure area that has developed over west central Arabian Sea. This can lead to slightly decrease the ongoing good rains over Kerala and Tamil Nadu for next one or two days, thought the Rayalaseema and the adjoining areas is likely to have a significant increase in the rain activity.
Probably, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Coastal Karnataka likely to continue receiving light to moderate rains in various areas. The rain intensity will again increase the pace over Telangana from June 10, but South Interior Karnataka including Tamil Nadu will continue with unresponsive rain activity for another 3-4 days.
In short, rains are expected to increase over the upper half of Southern states. Quite the reverse, states like South Tamil Nadu, South Karnataka, and Kerala may witness some reduction in rains.
