London, June 9: After facing a crushing defeat against Sri Lanka, Indian skipper, Virat Kohli said that although the team bowled decently well, the execution wasn't quite there.

"The other teams are also champions and that needs to be kept in mind. We are not invincible. I personally thought that we had enough on the board at the halfway stage,” said Kohli.

“I think our bowlers also bowled decently well. If the Lankan batsmen come out and play like that and everyone plays well, you have to give credit to the opposition as well. We are not invincible,” he added.

“We are playing against other sides that are also champion sides. There’s always hindsight. I thought we bowled decently. But when you don’t execute properly, there is always food for thought. Here you have to give credit to the other team,” Kohli added. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka chased down mammoth target of 322 with 7 wickets in hand.
