Panaji, Jul 1 : Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the historic roll out of Goods and Services Tax BJP supremo Amit Shah said that the path breaking reform will end the era of tax terrorism which will ultimately boot the economic growth of the country.
Addressing the gathering of BJP workers of Goa at Dabolim airport Shah specially thanked President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing the momentous concept of 'one country, one tax'. Further elaborating the importance of GST shah underlined that integration of various taxes into single tax will help traders, businessmen and small entrepreneurs for business enhancement. He further informed that around 17 different taxes have been dissolved with the launch of GST.
Shah arrived at Dabolim airport near around 11.30 am for his two-day state visit. On his arrival Shah was given a warm welcome by 2,500 party workers .On this occasion Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Union Minister Shripad Naik, South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar, BJP Goa head Vinay Tendulkar and other party officials were present.
During his two day visit, BJP Chief will be interacting with senior ministers, party MLAs, coalition partners, and other party officials in order to strengthen the party organisation ahead of the crucial 2019 general election. He is also schedule to address the party's elected representatives where various political issues will be discussed. Shah will address the gathering of intellectuals and professionals including industrialists, hotel owners, chartered accountants and doctors at 6.30 pm.
On Sunday, the BJP president Shah will inaugurate the party's South Goa office in Margao opposite the Kadamba bus stand at 4pm where CM Manohar Parrikar, South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar and other senior leaders will remain present.
