Abu Dhabi, July 1 : The much awaited South Indian International Movie Awards is being held in Abu Dhabi on June 30 and July 1. The prestigious awards function brings together bigwigs from four South Indian film industries like Telugu, Tamil Malayalam and Kannada.
Around 600 celebrities and various technicians are participating in the sixth edition of SIIMA awards at Abu Dhabi. The first day was dedicated to Telugu and Kannada industries, while the second day is dedicated for Tamil and Malayalam industries.
Earlier in the event, a rich tribute was paid to the late Dasari Narayana Rao garu veteran filmmakers for his seminal contribution to the from Telugu film industry. Veteran actor Murali Mohan won the award for Lifetime Achievement where Rakul Preet won the Best Actor (Female) for Nannaku Prematho and Superstar Jr NTR bagged award of best Actor for Janatha Garage. Natural actor Nani won prize for Best Actor (Critic). Gorgeous Nivetha Thomas won the Best Debut Female award for the Telugu film Gentleman.

Rakul Preet - Best Actor (Female) for Nannaku Prematho.
Devi Sri Prasad – Best Telugu Music Director for Janatha Garage
Nani – Best Actor (Critic) Award
Nivetha Thomas – Best Debutant Actress
Srikanth Meka – Best Supporting Actor
Rama Joagaiah Sastri – Best Lyricist for Pranamam from Janatha Garage.
Anasuya Bharadwaj – Best Supporting Actress for Kshanam.
Srikanth's son Roshan and Allu Sirish hosted the evening which was packed with the electrifying performances from many celebrities that include Shubra Aiyappa and Regina Cassandra. Celebrities like Rakul Preet Singh, Shivaraj Kumar, Rana Daggubati, Regina Cassandra, Khushbu Sundar, Lakshmi Manchu, Mohan Babu, Allu Sirish, Shraddha Srinath, Pranitha Subhash, Manvitha Harish, Nikki Galrani, SP Balasubramaniyam and Shriya Saran are in Dubai for the two day mega show of SIIMA.
