Dubai, July 11: Indian left-arm spinners Ravindra Jadeja on Monday claimed the first position with 898 points in the ICC Test bowlers' rankings released in Dubai. Notably, this is Jadeja's career-best rankings in the ICC table. Ashwin is placed at the second spot with 865 points but none of the other Indian bowlers figure in the top-10 list.
In the all-rounders' chart also, Jadeja remains static at second place, while Ashwin is holding on to the third spot. Cheteshwar Pujara remains at the fourth position and Virat Kohli is static at the fifth place in the batsmen category. K L Rahul climbed up a place to ninth spot in the batting table, which is continued to be headed by Australia's Steve Smith.
Meanwhile, England's Moeen Ali has received a ranking boost in both batsmen's and bowlers' list. In the batting chart, Ali has gained three places and is now just outside the top 20, at 21st place, while in the bowling table, he has broken into the top-20 and is in 19th position by rising nine places.
Earlier, in the month of March, India's spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin became the first pair of spinners to be jointly top-ranked in the MRF Tyres ICC Player Rankings for Test Bowlers.
