Chennai, July 12: Annoyed with the format of Tamil version of reality show 'Bigg Boss' Hindu Makkal Katchi a political outfit today demanded the arrest of superstar Kamal Haasan for hurting the sentiments of Tamil people. The organization has asked state administration to ban the telecast of Big Boss where the veteran is hosting the show.
The complaint, filed with the Chennai Commissioner, mentions that the show is responsible for segregating the Indian people and deteriorating the sense of cultural values among the Indians. The organization accuses mega star of tarnishing Tamil culture. It further demands the urgent arrest of all the 14 participants of the show, for tarnishing the reputation of the State and its culture. This is the first-ever season of Bigg Boss Tamil, which was launched on 25 June 2017 on the Star Vijay channel.
Earlier in his interview to the news channel Republic when asked about the Tamil version of Big Boss the anchor said, “ Bigg Boss is a social experiment. That's the reason I came on board", further quoting Tamil philosopher Kaniyan Poongundranaar's famous saying: "To us, all towns are one, all men our kin" as the crux of the show's concept. He further added that he is ready to face any challenge even arrested”.
