Hyderabad, July 12: Expressing his happiness over the unprecedented response for the trailer of Naan Aanayittal which is the Tamil dubbed version of Nene Raju nene mantri superstar Rana Daggubati said that the Tamil version is very close to his heart.
Sharing his personal story about the title Rana said, “The Tamil film title is inspired by a super hit song from legendary actor MGR’s blockbuster film Enga Veettu Pillai, a remake of ‘Ramudu Bheemudu’ the first movie produced by my grandfather, Rama Naidu in 1964,” he said. He specially mentioned that the film is very special as it brings memoirs of greatest icons of the film industry.
The makers of upcoming political drama are quite optimistic about the upcoming project of Rana after the much-celebrated role of Bhallaldeva in the Baahubali series. Banking on Rana’s image of macho makers believes that Naan Aanaiyittaal will strike a chord with the Tamil film audience due to its “strong mass appeal.” Within few days of its release, the Tamil version has also created a buzz in the social media ever since it was uploaded on YouTube.
When asked about the prospects of the film Actress Catherine Tresa who will be seen in a negative role in Rana’s film stated that the both the versions of the film will break many common stereotypes and that is what makes the film unique. The actress also mentioned that Rana will be seen in a never seen avatar, essaying a role out of his comfort zone.
On the other hand, after the success of Baahubali Rana has become new sensation in social media. Recently the actor has crossed 3 Million followers on social networking site Twitter. He has joined the camp of Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli in terms of the number of followers on the micro-blogging site.
