Villages planned to be converted to smart grams in Haryana

Chandigarh, July 13: Whereas almost 70% Indian population live in the village area, the village areas lack the developed infrastructure. To make the villages smarter, Haryana Government has set up the Haryana Smart Gram Development Authority.  This authority will help to transform villages into smart gram. Chief Minister  Manohar Lal Khattar will chair the authority.

Along with CM, Development and Panchayats Minister will also play a vital role. How to formulate ideas to properly implement the plan, HSGDA would look into these things.  The leverage resources will be accessed through funds from central, state government schemes, corporate social responsibility funds.

Improvement of basic necessities like roads, power supply, drinking water, sanitation and common Government to Consumer (G2C) services, up gradation of education, skill development and healthcare will be in focus.

HSGDA also promote healthy partnership between key stakeholders, government department, educational and research institutions and corporate organizations for innovation, enterprenual support system.

The problems regarding inter-sectoral and inter-departmental will be resolved under this platform. The authority will also design strategic and long-term policy and program framework. The plans need proper execution. Hence, it would also monitor execution and improve their efficacy through feedback innovative improvements and requisite mid-course corrections.
