Patna, July 14: The recent political turns are indicating that the grand alliance in Bihar may face its end soon. The CBI raid at Lalu’s residence has worked like a catalyst to stimulate the spi8lt soon. Due to Tejswavi Yadav’s alleged involvement in the hotel tender case, BJP demanded the resignation of Lalu’s son from the post of Bihar’s deputy CM. This controversy has also a link to the clean image of Nitish Kumar. JDU leader Ajay Alok has clearly told that his party is more concerned about Nitish Kumar image rather than grand alliance. Power does not matter to them as far as image is concerned.
“We have 80 MLAs and our leader is Lalu Prasad. What the JD(U) says or wants to convey does not matter to us. We have decided not to entertain any demand of Tejwasvi’s resignation. He has been a victim of BJP’s conspiracy.” RJD MLA Virendra Kumar said.
On the other hand, “Nitish is the leader of Mahagathbandhan, no one else. Those who are threatening of having 80 MLAs with them should not be in any kind of confusion. It will not take us even 5 minutes to quit government, power,” JD(U) spokesperson Ajay Alok told media.
JDU is not happy with Tejswavi’s response in the case. Regarding Irregularities in a Hotel Tender case, CBI filed a case against former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, their son Tejaswi who is Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister. CBI also raided his house on last week’s Friday morning.
To ease the tension between two partners of the grand alliance, Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Friday called both Lalu and Nitish to discuss the current political scenario in the state.
