Srinagar, July 16: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti strongly condemned China for being non-responsive over the Amarnath terror attack and termed it surprising.
Chief Minister Mufti said “China has never pointed fingers at Pakistan as far as the cross-border infiltration is concerned, even when the whole world does it”. Terrorists and outside forces who are trying to vitiate the atmosphere are responsible for the ongoing situation in the state. She added.
The United States, France, Nepal and several other countries had earlier strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Amarnath pilgrims in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on July 10 in which seven pilgrims lost their lives and 15 others were injured.
Earlier, talking to reporters after meeting with Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi, Mufti said, now China has also started interfering in the state. The problem in the state is not a law and order issue. She said, the recent terror attack on Amarnath Yatra was intended to create communal tension in the country.
Mufti said, she is happy that all political parties are united to resolve the problem in Kashmir. She also thanked the people of the country and the Home Minister for their support.
