Pakistani cops kidnap, torture Sindhi freedom fighters

Karachi, July 18: The Pakistani security forces have allegedly let loose a reign of terror, kidnapping and torture against the protagonists of Jiye Sindh Movement.

According to sources, the latest is the case of one Shabir Azad Buledi, Secretart of Karachi Division of Singh Human Rights Organisation who was allegedly abducted by the Pakistani Rangers recently.

He was active in the long march for safe recovery of Sindhi missing persons. Now, he has become one amongst them.

In a recent operation against the Jiye Sindh activists the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and MI have arrested 50 plus activists and they are allegedly made to suffer torture at the hands of the security men.

The sources alleged that the Pakistani security personnel raid Sindh villages and round up activists and political workers daily. During the last few days, the Pakistani security forces kidnapped 8 more Sindhi political workers, the sources informed adding that one body was found from Shah Panjo village on the Sindh Base Road.

Recently, the Pakistani agencies have kidnapped a young JSQM activist Arisar Pathaan Khan Zahrani whose both the kidneys are not working. He was allegedly kidnapped from Pipree area of Karachi and subjected to brutal torture, the sources alleged.

The leaders of Jiye Sindh Movement and JSQM have appealed to the international human right organisations, Amnesty International, Asian Human Rights Commission, European Union and the UN to save the Sindhi political workers from the tyranny of Pakistani security personnel.
