Mumbai, July 2: Stating that our nation entered a new era of ‘one nation, one tax’ and the Chartered Accountants will play the most important role in implementation, the Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the Maharashtra will benefit the employment sector following enforcement of Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Addressing the 68th Chartered Accountants Day celebrations on Saturday in Mumbai, CM Fadnavis stressed: “I'm also confident that GST is yet another imp step towards generating more employment in India”. The 68th Chartered Accountants Day celebrations were organised by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in Mumbai.
Maharashtra CM also informed that the every developed nation has progressed by eliminating the trade barriers and by entering into the single market. Adding point he said “Because of GST many things have become simple. GST is a good and simple tax. Maharashtra will benefit more because of this”.
Fadnavis also expressed, “we are blessed with a lot of competent manpower. We have demographic advantages. GST will help us use this situation more efficiently”.
