Russia shows its interest to sell new generation MiG-35 Fighter Jet to India

Moscow, July 23: Russia and India share a constructive relationship in the defense sector. The technological expertise of Russia putting more money in defense production since Putin got reelected. Russia has shown interest to sell its new fighter jet MiG-35 India. The MiG Corporation’s chief has also said that India has revealed an interest in the aircraft.
"We are proposing supply of the aircraft for tenders in India and we (are) actively work with its Air Force in order to win the tender," Chief Executive Officer of the MiG Aircraft Corporation Ilya Tarasenko said. From January, the MiG Corporation started its promotional activity in India and other countries.

This is not the first probable MiG-India deal. India has used MiGs for almost 5o years. Now it proposes its new advanced 4++ generation multi purpose fighter jet to India. It wants to carry on its supply to India.

"We are in the negotiation stage where talks on technical and technological specifications that MiG can present to India and the requirements that India has for this aircraft were taking place," Tarasenko said of current status.

"Since this is a very new plane, it will still take some time to negotiate on exactly what India needs and adjust the product to it," he added.

Why their proposal is economical, to elaborate that he said they would also provide training for its use, as well as after-sales servicing. They would also take the responsibility to serve it for 40 years. As he claimed they would sell it at 20-25% cheaper rate than its competitors in the market. As he said, the plane is light, multifunctional and has high maneuverability.
