Bhubaneswar, July 25: There is something special we gaze at when we see disable person passing by us. Ever wondered what it is? It is their willpower to stand and lead in front of us. No such field is left that is not attained like us normal human beings by these physically challenged people. Likewise, Sukanti Daksh the visually challenged woman has joined the State Revenue Services to serve Odisha.
Filled up with pride and self-esteem, Sukanti Daksh said that “We have to do it like the mainstream people; it’s just that we have to put some more efforts. I don’t want people to undermine my abilities, for no fault of mine. So, I am proving myself every day that I am not abnormal.”
Sukanti Daksh, defined the strength and encouraged everyone to face ups and downs in life to lead fiercely. Blind since birth, Sukanti was once a teacher: a ‘Sikshya Sahayaka’ with the state’s Education Department, after earning her postgraduate degree in History from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
She taught hundreds of children, lived with minimal facilities, and also took care of her family. She will now serve the people of Odisha as a civil servant. People like these are the examples of inspiration, who lead the nation with pride and success for other nation to learn.
