Hyderabad, July 27: With the partial relief from Hyderabad high court, famous actress Charmme Kaur appeared before the special investigation team of Telangana’s Excise Department, who is probing the alleged link of Telugu actress.
As reported by Indian Express, a four-member team including three women interrogated Charmme on her alleged links with Calvin Mascarenhas, the chief architect of the racket. She was also asked whether she takes drugs.
The team, headed by Superintendent, Prohibition, and Excise, K. Pavan Kumar, included three women – two inspectors and a sub-inspector. The women officers were included in the team on the directions of the Hyderabad High Court. The team took almost six hours to spot the alleged connection of actress with drug peddlers.
According to a statement from SIT, Charmme refused to give her consent for drawing the samples and thus they were not collected. Coming out as a major breakthrough for SIT when the team arrested a Dutch national Mike Kamminga as he was the main link for peddlers from Europe.
