9 IT firms with investment of Rs 1000 cr to enter the state of Jharkhand

Ranchi, July 30: Jharkhand till today is considered as an under-developed state due to the Naxalite issue and extreme poverty situations. But the scenario is soon to be changed as Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma today said that the state is taking steps to emerge as an IT hub in the country. The process for which would commence from September when 9 IT companies will settle their businesses in the state’s Namkum area.
These companies would be providing employment to 5000 people directly while several thousands would be indirectly benefitted by them, Verma said after inspecting the newly build building of the cooperative department at Namkum where these 9 companies would be provided space to run their business.
An investment of Rs 1000 crore in the state would take place in areas of IT and agriculture. This would be the biggest link with the various schemes of the state government with IT. The Chief Secretary also said that the state was also performing better in the area of ease of doing business index and after the Momentum Jharkhand summit, various projects are going to come up soon. The 9 IT companies will provide space in the area of cooperative development. The industrial development in the state is going to reach higher and even the industrialists have lauded the industrial policy of the state.
Furthermore, Verma also announced a road linking to the new building along with a football ground will also be developed. The new building of the cooperative department has been built already over an area of 1.65 acre with 5 stories consisting of 26 rooms along with a conference hall at every floor.
