Japan, US to take fresh actions against 'grave and growing' N Korea threat

Tokyo, July 31: It has been a long time that the missile firing of North Korea bothering the stability of the region. The issue is the reason for the constant headache of Japan. To maintain peace, Japan already is working with the US. Again on Monday, Japan Prime Minister Abe had a talk with the US President Donald Trump. The talk took place after U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations said Washington is "done talking about North Korea". Japan PM has told that they have reached an agreement to take fresh action against North Korea threat.

North Korea has already fired two missiles in this month. After Friday’s intercontinental ballistic missile fire, the US has decided to take stronger action against N Korea. Nikki Haley, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, said in a statement China must decide if it is willing to back imposing stronger U.N. sanctions on North Korea. Nikki Haley said "that does not significantly increase the international pressure on North Korea is of no value", on the issue of stronger sanction.

"We have made repeated efforts to resolve the North Korean issue peacefully, coordinating between Japan and the United States and with the international community, but North Korea has trampled all over these efforts and unilaterally escalated (the situation)," Japan PM Abe said.

The two leaders have also agreed on Russia and China’s role to take a role in tackling the issue. Previously Trump expressed its discontent over China's role to solve the issue. China has done nothing, just had talks. Abe told that the two countries- US and Japan will do their best to keep the public safe from North Korea threat.

A White House statement after the phone call said the two leaders "agreed that North Korea poses a grave and growing direct threat to the United States, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and other countries near and far".
