Tel Aviv, July 7: On the 3rd day of the visit to the land of Jews, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the first meeting of India-Israel CEOs Forum along with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv where twelve big MoUs were signed worth 4.3 billion.
India-Israel CEOs Forum kicked off with an aim to promote the economic and investment partnership. Along with this meet, the launch of India-Israel start-up bridge took place to encourage Start-Ups of the two countries to work together to come up with innovative solutions to tackle challenges in the Agriculture, Water and Healthcare sectors. Also, 12 MoUs were signed worth 4.3 billion were signed.
While addressing the India-Israel CEOs Forum, PM Modi said that “New chapter has been opened in India-Israel relations. The driving forces are opportunities for the betterment of lives of people.” Further, he added that Israel is known as Start-up nation. It has a unique sense and ecosystem of innovation and incubation. Credit must go to the Israeli entrepreneurs. Also talking about India-Israel friendship PM Modi said that “There is a lot of potential for India-Israel partnership in Startup India. I am happy that India-Israel Start-up Bridge has been formally launched today.”
While addressing the Forum PM Modi said that “CEOs and talents of India and Israel together will sow seeds of miracles for the betterment of the world.”
The strategic MOUs signed include those between Texmaco and Leshman-Lesico; Alpha Design and Elbit Land Systems; Elcomm Innovations and Eccopia Scientific; Wipro and Israel Aerospace; Dynamatics Technologies and Israel Aerospace and Elcom Systems; Cadila Healthcare and Phibro Animal Health Corporation; Sun and Water-Gen; tGELF and LEAD; Telerad Tech and Zebra Medical Vision; Kalyani Strategic Systems and Israel Aerospace; and Mahindra and Shachaf.
“We are positioning India as a global manufacturing hub. This is necessary for us to take advantage of youth energy. For this, we’ve launched Make in India. We have resolved the number of regulatory and policy issues facing businesses and companies. We’ve worked very sincerely for ease of doing business,” PM Modi said.
