Rohtak, August 1: The National President of BJP Amit Shah has been visiting several parts of India as part of the ‘vistaar yatra’ focusing on 2019 election. After visiting Uttar Pradesh, now he will visit the political capital of Haryana, Rohtak on 2nd August. The duration of the visit is 3 days. During this visit, the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his ministerial colleagues, party legislators, besides the BJP office-bearers, would camp in Rohtak.

BJP has come to power in Haryana in 2014. The top leader of BJP Amit Shah will review the performance of Khattar government. A report card presenting government’s achievements during its over 1000-day rule would be presented before Shah.

According to local media reports, BJP has set the place Rohtak as it was the epicenter of last year Jaat quota stir in the state. If Amit Shah can nullify the Jaat agitation, it would help BJP in next poll. During the last general election, Rohtak was the only Lok Sabha seat in the state captured by Congress.

During his three day stay, Amit Shah would participate in as many as 27 events, mostly meetings. In addition to Lok Sabha poll, he will encourage party workers for state assembly vote.

“The BJP president will get a glimpse of the Haryanavi culture, folk music and traditional local festivals like Teej. A discussion with the town’s intelligentsia will also be organized during Shah’s visit,” Party’s Haryana unit president Subhash Barala said.
