Power Star Pawan Kalyan to join active politics from October

Amaravati, Aug 1: Ahead of the crucial by-election in the state, actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan has announced that he will make his entry into active politics from October or November of this year after completing his existing commitment. Popularly known as Power Star, Pawan Kalyan founded the party called Jana Sena during 2014 general election where he extended his support to TDP-BJP alliance and also shared the stage with PM Narendra Modi.



Speaking to the media after his interaction with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu the actor reiterated that politics would be his first priority as he believes that people can be served better through the same. Yesterday Pawan Kalyan met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the issue of the kidney-related diseases in the Uddanam region of Srikakulam district. He also had a meeting with a Harvard team and the expert doctors who are working in this regard. Over 4,500 people in the village have died of kidney diseases in the past ten years. It was reported that each family in the area had at least one person suffering from a kidney ailment.

When asked about the future program of his party Kalyan said that Jana Sena is in the process of building the organization in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. While the process is almost over in Telangana, two to three districts are remaining in Andhra Pradesh, he added. Last year, he announced that Jana Sena will contest the elections in both Telugu states.

Pawan Kalyan is the younger brother of megastar Chiranjeevi who is the member of congress party. His support to the Telugu Desam-BJP alliance proved critical in the combine emerging victorious over the YSR Congress Party. Currently, Jan Sena party chief is working on his upcoming movie directed by his close friend Trivikram. It will be the first time Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan will be sharing the screen space.
