Kolkata, August 10: It has been almost two months since Gorkha Janmukti Morcha started its protest in demand of a separate state. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also made it clear that she would not allow division in any condition. Now GJM has become so desperate that the leadership has decided to rush a team to Delhi. It shows Morcha’s strong will to make center intervene in the issue.
GJM warned of intensifying the agitation but somehow now they want to wait for center’s response now. Significantly GJM has agreed to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s quit India Movement initiative from 9th to 15th August. They will organize Triranga yatra along NH10, NH30, and NH55.
As Morcha is alleged of several violent agitations it now wants to wash hand. "A lot of unwanted incidents are taking place and the blame is being put on the Morcha. These specific picketing points have been listed to ensure no untoward incidents take place," said Binay Tamang.
